Debra Martin, Costume Mistress

The Collective is thrilled to have Debra Martin as our official company Costume Mistress. Debra has worked with the Collective since our first performance in November 2017, Arrival. From the copper orange-colored tutus embellished with leaves for Fall, to the classical flat tutus of Winter, and costumes created for the Collective's dancers at Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), her creations have been breathtaking. With the help of other parents and volunteers of the Collective, she has also created and altered costumes for SLO-MAC productions including Red Riding Hood and Carnival of the Animals. With degrees in both product design and mechanical engineering, Debra brings a unique combination of artistry and physics to her designs.
